Royal Purple Engine Break-In Oil SAE 10W30 1 Quart is formulated to allow optimal ring seal and protect rotating assembly components such as the camshaft and valve train from initial start up wear. Royal Purple combines highly refined mineral oil, preferred for engine break-in, with advanced additives containing high levels of zinc and phosphorus to optimize protection in flat-tappet and roller engines. Engine builders have grown increasingly concerned that many modern motor oils do not provide adequate wear protection for new engines, particularly those using flat-tappet cams. Royal Purple has addressed this issue by developing a new engine break-in oil. Royal Purple Break-in Oil is fully formulated and does not require the use of any other chemical additives. Royal Purple recommends using their high performance motor oils after the engine is broken in for maximum engine performance.

Kendall Super-D XA (exhaust advantage) is a premium quality, synthetic blend, API CJ-4 engine oil developed for use in four-stroke cycle diesel engines compliant with the U.S. EPA's 2007 on-highway exhaust emissions standards. It is specially formulated to protect exhaust aftertreatment devices such as diesel particulate filters (DPF) and diesel oxidation catalysts (DOC). It also is recommended for use in pre-2007 on- and off-highway diesel equipment with either EGR or conventional diesel engines, and for mixed fleets with diesel and gasoline-fueled vehicles. Super-D XA is formulated with a blend of synthetic and high-quality Group II base stocks and a proprietary low-SAPS additive package to provide outstanding engine protection in new and older diesel engines. It is fortified with Kendall's exclusive Liquid Titanium additive technology for enhanced oxidation resistance and protection against wear. This additive enhancement provides increased engine protection from a strongly bonded titanium shield formed on the surface of critical engine parts, which reduces wear and helps extend component life. Super-D XA has excellent soot dispersancy to protect against abrasive wear and soot-induced oil thickening, and to ensure good low-temperature pumpability even with highly soot-laden oil. It provides excellent bearing corrosion protection and protects against sludge and varnish formation. The synthetic blend formulation provides enhanced thermal stability at high temperatures and improved low-temperature properties compared with conventional diesel engine oils. Super-D XA meets or exceeds the performance requirements of API Service Categories CJ-4 and SM, and all major OEM heavy-duty engine oil specifications for 2007 and later on-highway diesel engines.

It is specifically designed for powerful and recent cars fitted with high displacement engines, gasoline direct injection and turbo Diesel and catalytic converters. Numerous car maker approvals make this product a multi-purpose and is especially recommended when the car is under warranty. Suitable for leaded or unleaded gasoline, diesel fuels and LPG. The OPEL/GM diesel LL B-025 standard requires two main properties to the lubricant such as high HTHS and very low volatility to drastically decrease oil consumption. Motul 8100 X-cess 5W-40 is especially recommended for OPEL 2.0 and 2.2 DTI engines (extended drain interval by computer on board). The ACEA B4 performance requires an outstanding detergent/dispersent power and a better viscosity increase resistance due to soot produced by direct Injection diesel engines (except VW unit injector engines that require MOTUL Specific 505.01 5W-40). The MB 229.3 standard is more stringent than 229.1 in terms of ageing resistance (extended drain interval by computer on board ), detergent/dispersent power (ACEA B4) and requests fuel economy performance where 1.2 percentage fuel economy improvement versus a 15W-40 reference.
