Active throughout the oil at the molecular level, zinc is naturally drawn to the carbon steel surfaces within your engine where with the addition of heat it reacts, creating an additional anti-friction coating that protects against possible metal-on-metal instances, even if the oil were to fail. In addition, Joe Gibbs Driven synthetic 10W-30 Hot Rod oil contains a special, military-grade additive that protects engines while they sit cold in storage and provides extra protection at startup.
